Mike Summers - June 2008:

This is a good two-day trip. Try to get a window seat on the right side of the plane. As you land, the Tetons are on the right -- beautiful sight. We flew to Jackson on an afternoon flight from DEN. Jackson Hole Information (Website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackson_Hole).

You'll want to rent a car (reserve before arriving). The airport is about 5 miles north of the city. Hotels are expensive in Jackson; we stayed at the Best Western for around $130.00. I would pay more the next time for a better hotel. The Snake River Brewery is a great place to eat. They have an outdoor area that faces the ski slopes. Snake River Brew Pub (website: http://www.snakeriverbrewing.com/).

By 7:30 AM the following morning, you should be on the road to Yellowstone National Park. It's about a 3 hour drive from Jackson. Beautiul scenery along the way. Yellowstone National Park (website: http://www.nps.gov/yell/ ). We watched Old Faithful three times, hiked around the area, did the loop (drive) around the park, and returned to Jackson in time to eat an early dinner (4:00 PM) and fly out of Jackson to Denver on the 7:00 PM flight.

This is a wonderful two-day trip that you can easily expand on. Enjoy!
